PULSUM is a modulation pedal designed to faithfully recreate the circuit, texture, and soul of the legendary 1968 Shin-ei/Univox Univibe. It delivers that psychedelic swirl immortalized by icons like Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, and David Gilmour in classics such as Machine Gun, Bridge of Sighs, and Shine On You Crazy Diamond.
Replicating a legend is no easy task. After over a year of deep R&D, we’ve perfected the signal path down to the smallest detail. We’ve matched the exact 16V operating voltage of the 1968 original, but for your convenience, we replaced the old transformer with an internal voltage converter and a 3rd-order filter. The result? Total stability and dead-silent operation.
Instead of the traditional filament bulb and photocell setup, PULSUM uses a custom LED-based solution. We developed a unique oscillator circuit where a specific LED mimics the filament's warm temperature and "rise and fall" curves, including those distinct asymmetrical ramps.

The Blend Secret: Our exclusive BLEND control replaces the standard "Chorus/Vibrato" switch. It lets you transition seamlessly between pure Vibrato, classic Univibe, and the often-overlooked Univibe Preamp—a discrete op-amp circuit that adds warmth and character to your tone. Use it as a boost or an "always-on" preamp to give your rig that vintage color.
